Bounty Hunters

The role that bounty hunters would have to play was one highly debated in the formation of Eyes & Ears. On the one hand, we could help provide a valuable service to those hunting criminals, and on the other, we could scare away those more trouble prone and in need of help and force them to turn elsewhere.

Think logically. When a person provides us with their location in space where they want us to rescue them, that location becomes an asset. Such information would be valued by bounty hunters and could be sold to them to single handedly deal with the situation, or they could stealthily join us on an expedition and facilitate an arrest in a non-violent and minimally risky manner for everyone involved.

The following illustrates the breakdown of a bounty and any leftover loot between the bounty hunter and Eyes & Ears.

Bounty Reward:
Alone: Eyes & Ears will sell a bounty hunter the location
for an immediate 33.3% of the current bounty.

With us: After costs of expedition are paid
Eyes & Ears will claim 20% of the current bounty.

Remaining Loot:
Eyes & Ears will take no loot left behind but may inquire into
purchasing anything of interest* after completion or
will take anything the bounty hunter does not want.

Bounty Reward:
Alone: Remaining 66.6% of the bounty.

With us: Remaining 80% of the bounty after
expedition costs are paid for.

Remaining Loot:
Eyes & Ears will take no loot left behind but may inquire into
purchasing anything of interest* after completion or
taking anything the bounty hunter does not want.

*Any purchases will be done based on a reasonable average in the solar system the bounty was posted in or based on a reasonable trade with the bounty hunter.
