An initial draft for "Valiance Rescue" is created and ready to post on the Arkship Pub.
At almost 3,000 words, multiple posts are demanded for readability. This, however, does not come to pass and is shelved due to life issues.

Before Eyes & Ears our name was "Valiance Rescue" as a testament of our willingness and courage to brave the unknown.
Our organization is officially listed in the Dual Directory on the Community site.

After reading the tale of a stranded pilot being rescued in Elite Dangerous, the possibility of a wayward Novean drifting far from civilization cements itself as a real possibility in Dual Universe.
Various mechanics like the loss of random inventory items as a result of death or forced respawning present the first of many reasons for the creation of an organization that can prevent all this.
Its founder, DarkHorizon, has an idea.

This commemorative date was chosen to celebrate the r0.10 update which introduced mineable ore alongside the crude scanning and marketplace mechanics.

Glavies is the first survivor rescued by Eyes & Ears during the Alpha 1 phase. After the rescue, they had this to say:
"I went to Discord to vent my frustration about my space shuttle exploding, and about me being lost on the vast and enormous planet Alioth.
Suddenly... a hero... a hero named DarkHorizon offered his aid. He picked me up and flew me to the closest market, this guy saved my day and should be given the medal of.. err heroes?"

Eyes & Ears partners with its second affiliate, DYNAMIC AEROSPACE INDUSTRIES, which intends to provide us and our customers with standard craft of high quality.
Additionally, they have agreed to set aside development space for us to build a second launch point from.

Dread Reaper is our third survivor rescued in the Alpha 1 period. After providing some feedback and having a discussion on the journey home, they quickly decide to become Eyes & Ears fifth member and a dedicated pilot.

Our rescuer, Dread Reaper, catches up to DARK_EXETER on the planet Ion for a fuel resupply after DARK found themself stranded and in need of assistance.

Eyes & Ears director DarkHorizon successfully completes two back-to-back rescues in space. Rescues 15 and 16 respectively.
haraldroine's first trip into space since joining Alpha 2 ends a little less than spectacularly.
Just as haraldroine is getting back on their feet, Grimmethy requires assistance after an unexpected server restart and lack of spare fuel supplies finds them stranded en route to Teoma.

JackTricolor, Annabella, and maxamized add to our roster of three rescuers, a pilot, a dispatcher, and a supply manager.

DarkHorizon starts out Eyes & Ears first meeting as an organization, with both particiation held at Eyes & Ears - Base Alpha with in-game elements used to assist in the presentation alongside several members communicating with us at a distance through the organizations Discord.
Of the subject matter included various additions to the website such as a charter, list of values, and an extension of Our Mission.
The logo also gets an update for an addtional theme focused around search and rescue as inspired by the United States Coast Gaurd.
